Southwestern Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. hamburger, 1/2 c. chopped celery, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper and 2 cans ranch style beans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Brown hamburger with celery, onion and bell pepper.

Drain and put in crock-pot or soup pot on stove.

Add remaining ingredients. It seems too thick at this point, but don't be fooled and add water.

It "loosens" as it cooks.

You can cook this stew all day in the crock-pot (the mixture fills it almost to the top) or simmer on the stove in a pot for 30 to 40 minutes.

Great with cornbread.
