Southern Sausage Gravy
Southern Sausage Gravy is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. mild breakfast sausage, 1/4 c. flour, 2 c. milk, 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Brown sausage in a large saucepan; drain partially.
Crumble sausage; return to pan.
Add milk to flour; beat with a whisk until flour dissolves.
Add to sausage.
Add red pepper flakes; cook over medium heat until thickened, approximately 1/2 hour, stirring often.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over homemade biscuits.
