Southern Creamed Corn
Southern Creamed Corn is an easy dinner. Made with 6 to 8 ears fresh corn, 1/4 to 1/2 c. water, 1 tsp. sugar, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted and 1 tbsp. cornmeal, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cut corn off the cob; scrape well to remove corn milk.
Place cut corn in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Add needed amount of water, sugar, butter and cornmeal; stir well.
Cover with plastic wrap or glass lid.
Microwave at High 2 minutes.
Stir well; rotate dish 1/2 turn.
Microwave at High 3 to 5 minutes; stir well.
Let stand, covered, 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
