Southern Cornbread is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. corn meal mix, 2 tbsp. bacon drippings, 1/2 c. self-rising flour and 1 to 1 1/2 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix meal and flour together.
Add drippings and mix gradually. Add buttermilk until well blended and thick.
