Southern Chicken Pie
Southern Chicken Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. cooked chicken, diced, 1 (16 oz.) can veg-all, drained, top and bottom pie crusts, 3 tbsp. butter and 3 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Line pie pan with crust.
Melt butter; add flour and stir until light brown, about 2 minutes).
Stir in broth.
Stir until thick. Slowly add milk stirring.
Add salt, pepper and lemon juice.
Cook until quite thick, about 5 minutes.
Add chicken and Veg-All and pour in crust.
Bake at 425Β° for 25 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes.
