Sourdough Starter
Sourdough Starter is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. lukewarm water and 3 tbsp. instant potato flakes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix ingredients and leave, uncovered, on kitchen counter for 3 days, stirring occasionally with a plastic or wooden spoon. Starter does not rise, only bubbles.
Place in refrigerator for 3 to 5 days and feed with the following at least twice before using Starter to make bread.
After starting to make bread, feed every 3 to 5 days.
Will last a long time.
