Sourdough Starter
Sourdough Starter is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1/2 c. warm water, 2 c. lukewarm water, 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 tbsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup very warm water.
Add 2 cups lukewarm water, sugar and salt.
Stir in flour and mix well.
Put mixture into a jar.
Cover with cloth and leave at room temperature 2 or 3 days, until mixture ferments.
When it foams and bubbles, it's ready for use.
Can be used at once or stored in the fridge.
If stored in fridge, remove 24 hours before using.
