Sourdough Bread
Sourdough Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with instant potatoes, sugar, starter, corn oil and salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Keep starter in refrigerator with top off.
Starter can be used every 3 to 5 days.
To use starter, feed starter with 1/4 cup instant potatoes, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 cup warm water.
Let stand, morning until night, at room temperature.
Then use 1 cup of this starter; put rest back in refrigerator.
Then add 1/2 cup corn oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 cups warm water and 6 cups bread flour (not sifted).
After mixing, grease large bowl.
Put dough in and turn several times so dough is covered with oil.
Let stand several (8 to 10) hours.
