Sour Cream Twists
Sour Cream Twists is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. flour, 1 c. margarine and/or shortening (1/2 each), 1 tsp. salt, 1 pkg. yeast and 1/4 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cut shortening into flour.
Add other ingredients (except sugar).
Mix with hands and roll into a ball.
Place back in bowl. Cover with a damp towel.
Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.
Cut dough in half and roll out on sugar.
Roll and fold in sugar 3 times.
Roll out to an 8 x 16-inch sheet.
Cut into 1 x 4-inch strips.
Twist and place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 15 minutes (burns easily).
