Sopaipillas
Sopaipillas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 pkg. yeast, 1/4 c. warm water and 1 1/4 c. scalded milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add to cooled, scalded milk. Combine the dry ingredients and add liquid; work into dough.
Be sure to add the last 1/4 cup of liquid slow enough to form firm ball.
Roll dough out 1/4 inch thick and cut into squares.
Fry only a few at a time.
Spoon over them to help them puff up.
May spread with butter and honey on top while still hot.
