Soft Sugar Cookies
Soft Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. softened margarine, 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 egg and 2 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream margarine, sugar, vanilla and almond flavoring.
Beat in egg.
Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
Chill at least 1 hour.
Divide into thirds, roll and cut in shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet on upper oven rack at 350Β° for 7 to 8 minutes or until very lightly browned on bottom of cookies.
Let set on cookie sheet a few minutes before removing.
Do not overbake.
Frost when cool.
