Soft Spice Bars
Soft Spice Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. margarine, melted, 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar, divided, 1/4 c. molasses, 1 egg and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

In a mixing bowl, combine margarine, 1 cup sugar and molasses.
Beat in egg until smooth. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices; stir into the molasses mixture.
Spread into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan.
Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Do not overbake.
Cool on a wire rack before cutting. Yield
2 1/2 dozen.
