Soft Molasses Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. boiling water, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. molasses and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Put butter in bowl and cream until soft.
Add water to melt, then add molasses, sugar and egg.
Mix thoroughly.
Sift dry ingredients.
Add to first mixture.
Drop by spoonful on well-greased cookie sheet.
May also add raisins.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
Bake about 12 minutes.
