Soft Custard
Soft Custard is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, 3 eggs, slightly beaten, 1/8 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Scald milk in a saucepan over low heat or in a double boiler. Beat eggs and add to scalded milk, stirring constantly.
Place in top of a double boiler and cook over simmering water until the custard thickens.
Let set in a pan of cold water or by pouring the custard into a chilled bowl.
Stir in vanilla.
Cover with foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate.
Yields 4 servings.
