Soda Cracker Chocolate Candy
Soda Cracker Chocolate Candy is an easy dinner. Made with 30 to 40 saltine crackers, 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Line a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan (jelly roll pan works great) with foil and coat with nonstick cooking spray.
Place crackers in rows on foil.
In a saucepan, melt butter; add the brown sugar and bring to a boil.
Boil for 3 minutes.
Pour over crackers; spread until completely covered.
Bake at 350Β° for 5 minutes (crackers will float).
Remove from oven.
Turn oven off.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and walnuts over crackers.
Return to oven until chocolate is melted, about 5 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Using a greased spatula, press walnuts into chocolate.
Cut into cracker size squares while warm.
Cool completely.
Remove candy from foil. Great gift idea!
