Snickerdoodles

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs one at a time.
Beat until fluffy.
Sift next 4 dry ingredients together and stir in egg mixture.
Chill dough for 1 hour.
Roll into balls.
Mix last 2 ingredients of sugar and cinnamon.
Roll balls in cinnamon mixture. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375Β° for approximately 7 to 9 minutes.
