Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, softened, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. sifted flour and 2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix together thoroughly the shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs.
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; stir into shortening mixture.
Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
Roll in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon.
Place about 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake until lightly browned, but still soft (8 to 10 minutes) in 400Β° oven.
