Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft shortening (part butter), 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. unsifted flour and 2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Heat oven to 400Β° (moderately hot).
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs.
Stir dry ingredients thoroughly to blend.
Mix in well.
If dough seems dry, add a drop or two of cream.
Roll into balls the size of a walnut.
Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes until light brown.
Makes about 5 dozen 2-inch cookies.
