"Snickerdoodles"
"Snickerdoodles" is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. sifted flour and 2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs.
Sift together and stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
Chill dough.
Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400Β°.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
