Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. sifted flour and 2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Heat oven to 400°.
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt; stir into other mixture.
Form dough into balls about the size of walnuts.
Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 400°.
Makes 5 dozen.
