Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening (1/2 butter), 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. flour and 2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix sugar, shortening and eggs thoroughly.
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
Add to shortening mixture.
Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts.
Roll balls in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400Β° until lightly browned but still soft (8 to 10 minutes).
Makes 5 dozen.
