Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. sifted flour and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Put together flour, soda, cream or tartar and salt and stir into shortening, sugar and eggs.
Chill dough.
Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
Roll each in mixture of 2 teaspoons sugar and cinnamon.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until lightly browned but still soft (cookies puff up at first, then flatten down) in 400Β° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 5 dozen.
