Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. flour and 2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Heat oven to 400Β°.
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Sift and blend together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; stir in shortening mixture.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls.
Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
Place on greased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out.
Makes 6 dozen cookies.
