Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 1 egg, slightly beaten, 1 tsp. cream of tartar and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Beat sugar, shortening and egg with wooden spoon until smooth and creamy.
Add cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and mix again.
Add flour gradually and mix well.
Form the dough into balls about 1-inch in diameter and roll each ball in mixture of 1 tablespoon sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 9 minutes at 400Β°. Makes about 36 cookies.
