Snickerdoodles
Snickerdoodles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft shortening (part butter), 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 3/4 c. sifted flour and 2 tsp. cream of tartar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar and eggs.
Stir together and stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake until lightly browned, but still soft, 8 to 10 minutes at 400Β°.
