Snack Bars
Snack Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 9 c. rice chex, crushed, 6 c. quick-cooking oats, 1 c. graham cracker crumbs, 1 c. flaked coconut and 1/2 c. wheat germ, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In a very large bowl, combine the first five ingredients.
In a saucepan over low heat, cook and stir marshmallows and butter until marshmallows are melted.
Add honey and mix well.
Pour over cereal mixture; mix well.
Add chips, M&M's or raisins if desired. Pat two-thirds into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan and the remaining third into a 9-inch square pan.
Yield
4 to 5 dozen.
