Smothered Steak
Smothered Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with flour, salt and pepper, 2 lb. tenderized round steak, 1 stick margarine and 1 tbsp. paprika, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Serving portions.
Salt and pepper to taste. Roll in flour.
Sprinkle paprika on each side.
Brown in margarine. When the steak is browned on both sides, remove from skillet.
Wash skillet.
Brown onion in 1/2 stick of margarine. Add steak to skillet after sprinkling each side with a small amount of soy sauce.
Cover.
Cook on low for 1 hour.
