Smoky Ribs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. catsup, 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. unsulfured molasses (grandma's brand with green label), 1/4 c. prepared mustard and 2 tbsp. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine first 8 ingredients; set aside.
Cut ribs into serving size pieces; place in a large Dutch oven. Cover ribs with water. Add garlic salt and pepper. Bring water to a boil; cover and reduce heat. Cook over slow coals 45 minutes or to desired doneness, turning frequently. Brush ribs with sauce during last 15 minutes. Heat remaining sauce and serve with ribs. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
