Small Dinner Rolls
Small Dinner Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. soft shortening, 1 pkg. yeast, 1 c. warm water, 1 egg and 2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water.
Stir in sugar, salt and half the flour.
Beat until smooth.
Add egg and shortening.
Beat in remaining flour until smooth.
Scrape down the sides of bowl with paddle scraper.
Seal and let rise in warm place until double in size.
Punch down and turn out on pastry sheet.
Make into rolls and let rise again.
Bake at 400Β° for 15 to 20 minutes until brown.
