Skillet Upside-Down Cake
Skillet Upside-Down Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. white cake mix, 1/4 c. butter, 1 c. brown sugar, pineapple or other fruit and maraschino cherries, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Prepare cake mix as directed on package.
Heat an 11-inch electric skillet to 220°.
Melt butter and brown sugar.
Arrange 9 slices of pineapple or other fruit in bottom of skillet.
If desired, add maraschino cherries and nuts.
Turn skillet to 260° and pour in prepared cake mix.
Cover and cook for 30 minutes with air vent on skillet lid closed tightly.
Don't peek.
When done, turn out on suitable plate.
