Skillet Cake
Skillet Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. shortening, 3/4 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 3/4 c. milk and 1 3/4 c. sifted self-rising flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Heat oven to 375Β°.
Grease and lightly flour iron skillet (10-inch).
Cream shortening, gradually adding sugar, until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
Add flour and milk alternately.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into skillet and top with Crumble Topping.
Make indentations in the batter with your finger all the way to bottom of pan so topping will bake into cake.
Bake 35 minutes.
