Sixty Minute Rolls is an easy dinner. Made with 2 yeast cakes, 2 tbsp. butter, melted, 1/4 c. sugar, 2 c. milk and 1 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Scald milk; let cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast and sugar in the cooled milk.
Add 2 cups of flour; beat for 5 minutes.
Add melted shortening and beat for 1 minute.
Add the cups of flour and salt.
Turn onto board with 1 cup flour; knead well.
Cover; let rise for 30 minutes.
Roll 1/2-inch thick and bake (no need to knead the second time; just punch down and make into rolls).
