Six Layer Dinner is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. uncooked rice, 3 large carrots, sliced, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 can chopped meat or 1 lb. hamburger and 1 large can tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Place uncooked rice in the bottom of a large casserole (3-quart).
Add carrots, onions and celery in individual layers.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cover this with the meat.
Add the tomatoes and water.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour 15 minutes.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
