Simple Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. lard, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp. soda and 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Beat sugar and lard together until light and fluffy.
Add egg and beat.
Put flour, baking powder, soda, and salt in after you add hot water.
Add flour mixture and vanilla.
Drop on greased pan and bake at 400Β° for about 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with sugar.
