Shrimp Delight
Shrimp Delight is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. shrimp, 4 tbsp. butter, 4 tbsp. flour, 1 c. half and half and 6 oz. cheddar cheese, in chunks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Place shrimp in cold water.
Bring to a boil and remove from the heat.
Let sit 3 minutes.
Peel and clean shrimp and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Melt butter in a heavy saucepan and blend in flour.
Add half and half gradually to make a smooth sauce.
Add cheese, catsup, Worcestershire and seasonings.
Stir over medium heat until cheese has melted.
Fold in cooked rice, mushrooms and shrimp.
Spoon into a casserole dish; sprinkle with crumbs and bake 30 minutes.
Serves 4.
