Shredded Beef
Shredded Beef is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 to 4 lb. chuck roast, 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 1 tsp. cumin, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder and 2 medium onions, slivered, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Brown chuck roast in oil in large saucepan or Dutch oven.
Add 1 cup water, cumin and garlic powder.
Simmer until meat is tender enough to pull apart (1 1/2 to 2 hours).
Let cool until cool enough to handle.
With hands remove and discard fat, bones and gristle.
Shred remaining lean meat.
