Set butter to soften.
Knead in sugar until creamy.
Add flour, mixing with fingers.
Roll dough (dough will be stiff) and cut cookies with a 2-inch cookie cutter.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Pierce each cookie in center with a table fork. Bake at 325Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Watch carefully!
Remove just as they have a slight tint.
