Mix the flour, brown sugar and butter into crumbs; set aside. Mix the molasses, baking soda, boiling water and beaten egg, then mix with 1/2 the crumbs, but do not beat.
Put in pie shell. Cover with the remaining crumbs.
Bake at 375° for 11 minutes, then at 350° for 30 minutes.
