Made with 3 or 4 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced, 1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings, 1 lb. lean hamburger, 1 (11 oz.) can pork and beans and 1 can tomato soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Arrange sliced potatoes on the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch lightly greased baking dish.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Add the uncooked hamburger next and top with the onion rings.

Add the beans and their liquid.

Top with the tomato soup; spread evenly.

Scatter bacon pieces on top.

Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 1 1/2 hours. During the last 15 minutes, place cheese on the top to melt. Serve with green salad, breadsticks and a cup of fruit.
