Shepherd's Pie
Shepherd'S Pie is an impressive dinner. Made with 18 oz. lean ground beef, 1 c. chopped onion, 1 c. sliced carrots, steamed or microwaved until tender, 1 c. sliced mushrooms and 1 c. canned crushed tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Saute ground meat and onion until brown; drain.
Add carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and rosemary.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Combine broth and flour until smooth.
Add to meat and cook 5 minutes more.
Boil potatoes.
Drain and mash with margarine and milk.
Add parsley.
Place meat in 2-quart casserole.
Cover with mashed potatoes.
Bake at 450Β° for 20 minutes or until potatoes are brown.
