Shepard's Pie
Shepard'S Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with instant mashed potatoes for 6 people, 1 egg, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 onion chopped and 2/3 c. frozen sliced carrots thawed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cook potatoes according to directions.
Cook beef and onion in large skillet over med-high heat stirring until it crumbles and loses its pink color.
Drain, then return to pan.
Add carrots (peas or corn can be substituted).
Stir in flour, 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper.
Add broth and cook, stirring until slightly thickened.
Spoon into 11x17 inch lightly greased dish.
Stir egg into potatoes along with remaining 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Spoon over beef mixture.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 minutes more.
