Shake Sweet Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 gal. 5 or 6-inch cucumbers, 2 tbsp. coarse canning salt, 5 lb. sugar, 2 tbsp. whole mustard seed and 2 tbsp. celery seed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Wash cucumbers and pack in gallon jar.
Add canning salt; fill with apple cider.
Soak for 6 weeks (date the jar).
After 6 weeks, rinse and cut cucumbers fine into gallon jar.
Add the 5 pounds sugar (1 cup at a time).
Add spices.
Shake after each layer of sugar until you have used all the sugar.
Shake every week for 2 or 3 weeks.
Open and eat.
