Seven Minute Icing
Seven Minute Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 3 egg whites, unbeaten, 5 tbsp. cold water, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 tsp. light corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Put egg whites, water, sugar and corn syrup in upper part of double boiler.
Beat with electric mixer until thoroughly mixed. Place over rapidly boiling water.
Beat constantly and cook 7 minutes or until frosting stands in peaks.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Beat until thick enough to spread.
Good on chocolate or white cake.
