Brown hamburger meat with 1/2 cup chopped onions.
Drain. Add taco seasoning.
In serving dish layer, in order, refried beans, hamburger meat, guacamole dip, sour cream, chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese.
Add salsa if desired.
Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight before serving.
