Sea Soup
Sea Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. regular-strength chicken broth, 1 tsp. soy sauce, 1/2 c. finely shredded carrot, 1/2 tsp. oriental sesame oil and 2 tsp. thinly sliced fresh ginger, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In a 2 to 3-quart pan, mix chicken broth, ginger and soy sauce; bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce to a simmer; add imitation crab and carrot and simmer, uncovered, until hot, about 1 minute.
Remove from heat and add green onions and sesame oil. Pour into a soup tureen to serve at the table, or ladle into 2 or 4 individual bowls.
Garnish with egg slices.
Makes 2 entrΓ©e or 4 first-course servings.
