Scripture Cake
Scripture Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. judges 5:25 (last clause; oleo or butter), 2 c. jeremiah 6:20 (sugar), 2 tbsp. 1 samuel 14:25 (honey), 6 jeremiah 17:11 (eggs) and 1 1/2 c. 1 kings 4:22 (flour), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Beat together oleo, sugar and honey.
Add beaten egg yolks (6 yolks beaten until light).
Add sifted mixture of flour, baking powder, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.) and salt, plus 1/2 cup milk.
Add 1 cup chopped figs or dates, 1 cup nuts (chopped) and 1 cup chopped raisins.
Fold in 6 egg whites (beaten stiff).
Bake in tube or Bundt pan at 300Β° for 2 hours.
