Made with 1/2 lb. judges 5:25 (butter), 1 tbsp. 1 samuel 14:25 (honey), 1/2 lb. 1 samuel 30:12 (raisins), 1/4 c. numbers 17:8 (almonds, blanched and chopped) and dash of 2 chronicles 9:9 (cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to taste), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Beat butter, sugar and honey to cream.
Add eggs, one at a time, still beating.
Add almonds, raisins and figs.
Add almonds, flour, spices and baking powder having already mixed them and then add milk.
Bake in slow oven for 1 1/2 hours.
