Scotch Shortbread
Scotch Shortbread is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. real butter (room temperature), 1 c. sugar and 4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream butter until fluffy.
Add sugar and beat again until fluffy.
Gradually add flour until dough is soft and smooth.
Pat dough in jelly roll pan or 10 x 15-inch baking pan.
Bake in preheated oven at 300Β° for 1 hour or until golden.
Remove from oven and cut in squares.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar, if desired.
Let cool in pan and store in airtight container.
Makes about 36 squares.
Do not use oleo.
It won't work!!
