Scotch Eggs is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. sausage meat, 6 hard-boiled eggs, bread crumbs, 1 egg, slightly beaten and frying oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Divide the sausage meat into 6 (4 ounce) portions.
Shell the eggs; dip in flour.
Coat each egg with egg and bread crumbs.
Fry in hot (but not smoking) oil, turning carefully (roll over) every minute or two to cook evenly until browned all over, about 25 minutes cooking time in all.
Cut each egg in half. Serve hot with tomato sauce or cold with salad greens.
