Scones
Scones is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. flour, 1 tbsp. acting baking powder, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 c. butter (1/4 lb.) and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Heat oven to 400Β°.
Mix flour, baking powder and sugar and cut in butter as if making pie dough.
(I use my food processor.) Beat egg into half and half or milk and add to flour mixture.
Mix barely long enough to moisten flour.
Gently press into a 9-inch circle or 8 to 9-inch round cake pan and cut into 10 to 12 pie-shaped wedges for a traditional scone.
Freeze dough until needed.
Frozen dough bakes better.
